MSDS實(shí)際上是一份全面的技術(shù)性說明書，側(cè)重于危害提示和安全操作指引。一份完整的MSDS報(bào)告一般涵蓋如下16項(xiàng)內(nèi)容：

Section 1：Chemical Product and Company Identification——化學(xué)品及企業(yè)標(biāo)識(shí)

Section 2：Information on Hazardous Ingredients——成分信息

Section 3：Hazard identification——危害識(shí)別信息

Section 4：First Aid Measures——急救措施

Section 6：Accidental Release Measures——意外泄露處置措施

Section 7：Handling and Storage——操作處置與儲(chǔ)存

Section 8：Exposure Control/Personal Protection——接觸控制與個(gè)體防護(hù)

Section 9：Physical and Chemical Properties——物理化學(xué)性質(zhì)

Section 10：Stability and Reactivity——穩(wěn)定性與反應(yīng)活性

MSDS似乎在海運(yùn)當(dāng)中更常見，為什么呢？也許是因?yàn)榛て返犬a(chǎn)品空運(yùn)時(shí)都需要提供《航空運(yùn)輸條件鑒別報(bào)告書》Identification and Classification Report for Air Transport of Goods，俗稱空運(yùn)鑒定或鑒定，但是海運(yùn)沒有類似這樣的鑒定，所以就要通過MSDS來判斷是否適合運(yùn)輸。而航空運(yùn)輸貨物因?yàn)橛小逗娇者\(yùn)輸條件鑒別報(bào)告書》，就沒必要再提供MSDS了。
